Ruth Hill
I am a secondary English, Drama and Media teacher with a passion for inspiring students to actively engage with texts. I enjoy working with students of all abilities and enabling them to understand, explore and manipulate language in a range of forms and styles, both as every day life skills and to enable them to gain qualifications.
I have taught students to a range of qualifications including Entry Level, Functional Skills, BTEC, GCSE and A level.
The last two posts I held were Head of English and Literacy Advisor.
Although my background is secondary teaching through my Masters in Education and working as a Literacy Advisor for a Special Needs school I have an excellent knowledge of working with emerging readers and writers from below National Curriculum level 1 and of synthetic phonics.
